After a triumphant premiere and successful season at Fringe World 2024, Sylvia Cornes and her band return to the Ellington Jazz Club this summer to present Yé-Yé, Yeah! A Tribute to 60s French Pop.

The Yé-Yé movement emerged in France during the 1960s, capturing the spirit of youth culture with its irresistible mix of catchy melodies, playful lyrics, and stylish sophistication. Drawing inspiration from British and American rock ‘n’ roll, the genre became a cultural phenomenon that defined a generation.
Yé-Yé, Yeah! celebrates this iconic era with the music of legendary French artists such as Serge Gainsbourg, France Gall, Françoise Hardy, Jacques Dutronc, and many more. Audiences will be treated to timeless classics like “Zou Bisou Bisou,” “Roller Girl,” and “Laissez Tomber Les Filles.” Accompanied by Sylvia’s talented 8-piece band, this show will have you twisting and shouting all night long—and there might even be a surprise guest performer!
