Bad Neighbour features Matt Knight, Oliver Taylor, Bob Tweedie, Cass Evans-Ocharern, and Ben Shelley drawing on years of studying, learning, and playing together, culminating in eclectic and virtuosic improvised music done entirely their way. Flavours of Phil Dizack, Ari Hoenig, Joel Ross, Sullivan Fortner, Miguel Zenon, Thelonius Monk, Phoebe Bridgers, Lizzy McAlpine, Jordan Rakei, Kendrick Lamar, Paul Simon, Bon Iver, and the Japanese House are tempered perfectly for a full musical degustation. Expect sweet, soaring melodies; bitter, gritty grooves; tender compositions; succulent harmonies; and moments of pure elation. No need to bring a plate!
This show promises the distillation of a music tour to Japan, a recent album recording, and close encounters with the likes of Eric Miyashiro, Joshua Redman, and Linda May Han Oh.
