The combination of Legrand’s romantic, rhapsodic sense of melody melded perfectly with the Bergmans thoughtful and poetic lyrics, able to unpretentiously convey all facets of the human experience.
Their compositions were performed by the best performers in the business such as Frank Sinatra, Barbra Streisand, Tony Bennett, Johnny Mathis and provided the soundtrack to many Hollywood films such as “The Thomas Crown Affair” “The Summer Of 42’” and “Yentel”.
