Tim Parish returns to the Ellington for a joy filled evening of song dedicated to the musical career of Doris Day! Following on from Tim’s highly acclaimed ‘Fella Sing’s Ella’ show, ‘Dude Does Doris’ takes you through the various phases of Doris’ surprisingly versatile and captivating repertoire and weaves a story of her life you may little know. With the assistance of the superb Libby Hammer and special guest on support vocals, and a superb band of musicians, this is sure to be an evening to fill your hearts with sunshine. 

Don’t say to yourself ‘Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps…’, If you loved Doris, her movies, her looks and her voice, this is the show to see, and for those who have not before explored what a wonderful songstress Doris Day was, then now is your chance to glimpse into her astonishing career and let ‘Que sera, sera’. 

Doris Day has been a muse for Tim Parish who found inspiration from her flawless technique, versatility and her ability to enchant audiences with her comic timing and capacity to bring a sense of joy to her performances. Tim has been performing regularly around Perth, and particularly at the Ellington, producing sold out shows which keep people coming back again and again. Tim Parish and Libby Hammer have produced a wide variety of shows; ‘Shall We France’, ‘Entre Nous’, ‘Ultra Lounge A-Go-Go’ and ‘It Might as Well be Swing!’ to name a few and his own solo shows, including ‘Fella Sings Ella’, ‘A Little Bit Lost’ and ‘Springtime in Swingtime’, He also performs regularly with his fellow songster Michael Heap  As ‘Beautiful Beasts’ in ‘Bonhomie’ and ‘Melodies Oublie’, as well as performing his own compositions.

Tim’s warm, captivating voice, versatility and dedication to vocal production and comedic interludes have been a hallmark of his shows, leaving audiences delighted, entertained and enthralled.
