Our artists are from Mauritius, La Reunion, the Seychelles, New Caledonia, Sri Lanka, West Africa, France and Australia.
Maloya is a deeply rooted traditional music from La Reunion, characterised by its rhythmic traditional percussion and soulful melodies. It tells the stories of the island’s history, blending the diverse cultural influences of its people. Our performances are a vibrant celebration of these traditions, bringing to life the colourful and spirited heritage of the islands.
We are proud to share that Salama band won the Best Music/Musicals Award at Fringe World 2023 and has just returned from a successful Indian Ocean Territories Tour, organised by CircuitWest and supported by the Australian Government.
