Major Swing Project explores a modern variant of the 1930s Manouche inspired gypsy sound. Their music is heavily influenced by Django Reinhardt and the Hot Club of France, whilst drawing inspiration from traditional jazz, folk and the music of Edith Piaf, all melded together with a European gypsy flavour. Their international experience coupled with the rich musical heritage of their Israeli and German band members, brings a global sound to this locally based ensemble.
