Hyperfantasia is a dance-theatre production, transporting audiences to the magic of the 1920s silent film era. A live performance drenched in greyscale, that merges movement and the live sound of sultry, jazz vocals, Hyperfantasia is a tribute to the fearless flapper women who defied societal norms, pioneering early feminist thought. As the performance evolves, it shifts from satirical commentary on 1920s conservatism to a profound exploration of the female experience. Presented at the renowned Ellington Jazz Club, this work immerses the audience in a hauntingly beautiful, black-and-white cinematic world.
